Inpatient Programs

Adult – provides acute stabilization, medical monitoring, and a thorough multi-disciplinary evaluation for adults 18 and up experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms or at risk of having an acute substance withdrawal

Adolescent – a highly supervised and structured environment assists teenagers age 13 and up in stabilization of psychiatric symptoms and behaviors presented at time of crisis. The program involves group, family, art and recreation therapy

Senior Adult – provides comprehensive assessment and treatment for seniors with emotional and behavioral needs. It is designed to evaluate and stabilize the older adult in psychiatric crisis or in need of medical detoxification from alcohol or drugs.

Outpatient Programs

Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) – This program provides a full day of therapeutic activities in both Lawrenceville and Athens, Georgia. Groups are designed to help patients identify and clarify problems as well as gain confidence when facing issues. Plans are developed for maintaining progress upon completion of the program. Hours are from 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Adolescent Partial Hospitalization – The adolescent program focuses on practical solutions for problems related to family, school and with peers. Both teenagers and parents are taught skills to manage symptoms and triggers for mood, behavioral and substance abuse problems. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Senior Adult Partial Hospitalization – Senior Adult Partial Hospitalization is recommended either as a transition from inpatient or direct admission from home for persons with moderate to severe behavioral health or substance abuse issues while avoiding inpatient hospitalization. The program provides support, structure, and treatment to help prevent deterioration, relapse, or hospitalization. Psychiatrists see patients at least twice weekly with support from nursing staff and a dedicated therapist, who provides groups and coordinates treatment with other Senior Adult services. The program meets from 8:30am to 3:00pm weekdays with lunch provided.

Adult Psychiatric Intensive Outpatient Program (PIOP) – This is a step down program for Inpatient and PHP that provides the opportunity to continue to focus on their treatment issues as they begin to resume their daily lives. This program is scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Adult Addictive Disorders Intensive Outpatient Program (ADIOP) – This 7-8 week program is designed to assist substance dependent adults and their families address the many issues associated with early recovery. Together they learn about the disease of addiction and relapse prevention as they integrate new recovery skills into their lives. This program is offered either Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. or Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
